Getting rid of hormonal acne and post inflammatory acne information

Start by cleaning your face. You should use a gentle cleanser. The cleanser isn't the acne fighting step. Plus, you only have moderate acne, so you don't need a cleanser with huge amounts of acids and alcohols. Use something like Neutrogena or Clearasil. The face wash will remove dirt, oil, makeup (if you wear it, of course), and dead skin cells. If it's hard to get your skin really clean, you might want to try using a scrub once and a while to remove dead skin cells.
While using Retin A the skin becomes very sensitive to sunlight. Your skin will be more likely to burn therefore wearing an oil-free sunscreen (at least 25 SPF) while using this acne medication is a MUST.
You have probably noticed that with most soaps and washes available in the market, it is difficult to remove all the oil on the skin without over-drying or irritating it. I would also always feel an oily residue especially round the T zone (middle forehead to nose and chin). A lot of what you try even leaves a waxy feeling. That contributes to blocking the pores and causing breakouts in many people.
